The student's Graduation Track must be declared no later than September 15 of the third high school year.

 

24 Credit College Prep Track 

For those students desiring to go on to college.

English4 creditsTo include writing, grammar, literature etc.
Math     3 credits*4 creditsOne must be Algebra I or higher.*4 credits beginning with students entering 9th in 2008.
Social Science3 creditsWorld History 1 credit, U.S. History 1 credit, Economics ½ credit, Government ½ credit
Science3 creditsNeed two lab components.
Physical Education1 credit 
Fine Arts½ credit, *1 credit*1 credit needed beginning with students entering 9th in 2008.
Vocational Education½ credit**N/A beginning with students entering 9th in 2008.
Life Management½ credit**N/A beginning with students entering 9th in 2008.
Electives8 ½ credits*8 creditsMostly academic - no more than two in any single non-academic field.  4 of which should be in the student’s Major Area of Interest (MAI). *8 credits beginning with students entering 9th in 2008..
Foreign Language2 credits****Not required for diploma.  However 2 credits of the same language to enter a 4-year college; otherwise, N/A

For those students who are not college bound.

 **Available through dual enrollment with IRSC to OPS students in the 11th and 12th grades. Preparations for specialized vocational programs with IRSC may begin in 10th grade.
